Training packages and nursery sessions

Baby Sign Time offers complete training packages to nurseries, childminders and other childcare settings who are interested in learning more about signing with the children in their care. Delivered by Speech and Language Therapist Liz Syed, the training is carefully designed to cover everything you and your staff will need to know about baby signing.

"A very well-presented workshop, it was inspiring and really entertaining: can't wait to get started with it with the babies tomorrow!"

It includes excellent quality resources and books for you to keep, shadowing visit, staff and parent workshops, signed sessions with the children in your care, ongoing follow-up support, and more.

Increasing numbers of childcare providers are using baby signing as a way of meeting the needs of pre-verbal children in an effective and highly beneficial way: the children can get their message across more easily thanks to signing, so they're less frustrated, leading to fewer tantrums and a happier, calmer environment for everyone.

As baby signing continues to grow in popularity, more and more parents are actively looking for childcare providers who will be able to carry on the signing that they've started at home with their little one, and they'll be relieved to know that their pre-verbal child can make his or her needs known when they're with you and your staff.

Baby signing also ties in well with the Early Years Foundation Stages, as it has several well-researched benefits for not only communication but also social and intellectual development.

The training packages we offer are tailored to each setting's individual requirements, and provide everything you need to get all the staff signing with confidence! Please contact Liz on 01565 872010 or email liz@babysigntime.net for a chat about your training requirements and to find out more about what we offer.

"Thanks Liz, this was a fantastic introduction to baby signing, I thoroughly enjoyed it and learnt a lot. Excellent."
